Introduction

Thank you for using www.jantar.co.uk (the “site”).  These terms and conditions govern your use of the site and purchase of goods (“items”) and services from the site. You will also find information on orders and returns, your privacy and security on other pages of the site and these pages shall be incorporated into these terms and conditions. If you have any questions, please contact us by using the "contact us" form.  In these terms and conditions, "we", "us", "our" refer to Jantar.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using the site. By accessing the site and/or placing an order, you signify your agreement to be bound by these conditions and you consent to us using your information in accordance with our privacy policy . If you do not accept these terms, do not use the site.

You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase items from the site.  If you are under 18, you may use the site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.  Your use of and registration on the site is void where prohibited.

Descriptions

At the time of publication on our website, all product descriptions are believed accurate. Errors and omissions excepted. Representations of colours are approximate only due to the limitations of the photographic, reproduction and printing process. There may therefore be a difference between the actual product and photographs of it on our website. All measurements and weights are approximate.

Whilst we endeavour to maintain advertised products we reserve the right to change them and to discontinue particular products as we consider necessary. This will not affect any orders that have already been accepted.

Prices

The price of your product is that applicable at the time of purchase. Prices are inclusive of vat at the rate applicable at the time of purchase. Previously viewed prices via cookies on your computer will not be honoured and requests to do so will be refused. Sale prices are available only while stocks last.

Delivery and customs

Please see our "delivery" page for information on timings and costs of delivery.  We will use all reasonable endeavours to deliver the items or services within the times indicated. However, where delivery times and dates are given, they are for general guidance only and we will not be held liable for late delivery of items caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We shall attempt to deliver the items to the address you specify for delivery, or if none, to the credit card address you supply.  You are responsible for making arrangements to receive the items and if the items are held at the post office or other delivery company's depot because no one was available when the items were delivered then it is your responsibility to swiftly collect the items.  It is important that the address supplied by you to us is accurate.

Please note that we are currently not able to deliver to P.O. Boxes or military bases.

Please note that any duty and/or administration charges incurred by your parcel being delivered overseas will need to be settled by you, Jantar will not be held liable for these.

Right to cancel

Where you purchase a product or a number of products together from our website you have a right to cancel this contract within 14 calendar days after the date on which the product(s) was (were) collected by you in store or delivered to you.

Where multiple items form part of the same order but have been delivered separately, your right to cancel starts 14 calendar days after the date on which the last product(s) was (were) collected by you in store or delivered to you.

To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel this contract via Email within those 14days.

This right does not apply to any bespoke product(s), to any product(s) which have been altered on request, to any product(s) which cannot be returned for hygiene reasons such earrings, or to any products you purchase in store.

Effects of cancellation

In order to receive a full refund, all we ask is that you return the product(s) in perfect condition and in the same packaging as when we delivered them to you.

We withhold reimbursement until we have received the product(s) back. We will refund you without undue delay, and not later than 30 days from the day you return any products supplied or provide us with evidence that you have returned them. The refund will be processed to the original form of payment used for the initial transaction.

You will be responsible for any postage or other costs incurred in returning the product(s) 

If your order comprises of multiple items, you can cancel and return any of the items individually or in combination.

Returns

This only applies to website returns only. Guidance for instore purchases can be found within the shop.

Customers are legally entitled to cancel an order at any time up to 14 days after receipt of the item and to return it for a full refund.

We are happy to offer a full refund or exchange on any of our items returned unworn, in the same condition they were received in (including packaging) alongside a copy of the original receipt within 14 days.

This does not affect your statutory rights, including your right to claim a replacement where goods are faulty.

Return by Post

Items can be returned directly to Jantar within 14 days for a full refund or exchange.  Please address your returned package to:

Within the package make sure you have relevant documentation for the refund process 

The customer is responsible for any postage or other costs incurred in returning the product(s) 

Insurance for returning items is highly recommended as the customer is fully responsible for the item until it reaches Jantar.

For your security, in the event of a postal return we recommend that you send the goods back to Jantar by Royal Mail Special Delivery. This will ensure proof of delivery and insurance of the goods whilst they are in transit.

We will endeavour to process your refund as quickly as possible and in any case within 14 days of receipt of notification. Undamaged and correctly returned items will be credited using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase. Return online purchases to our Store

Online purchases may be returned to the Jantar shop directly.

Please bring the original receipt and the item(s) you wish to return and our store will be able to process a refund or exchange the goods to the same value as purchased where relevant.

How to return faulty goods (Online)

Faulty items will only be accepted if the item(s) are delivered to the customer damaged or there is a manufacturing fault within 30 days after delivery.

In order to return faulty item(s) you must Email us at Jantarjewellery@hotmail.com and follow the definitive returns process as specified above.

All items returned as faulty will be inspected and any damage regarded as normal wear and tear will not be accepted as faulty.

Where possible items may be repaired on request, but only where such items are deemed faulty and repairable.

It may be possible for us to repair items which have suffered wear and tear. There will be a charge for this service which will be quoted in advance before any work carried out, this will also cover the cost of shipping and any other costs incurred.

Conditions

When returning items to Jantar, the item(s) must be in perfect condition with original packaging and accompanied with a copy of the original receipt.

If the return surpasses the time frame provided, it will be at the discretion of Jantar to allow an exchange or credit note for the piece of jewellery to the same value.

Receiving your refund.

Refunds to you will be made within 14 days of the date of cancellation notice. The refund will be in the same form as the original payment.

Alternatively, you can request a credit note that can be used against future purchase at www.Jantar.co.uk or in store.

Gift Returns(online only)

If you have received an item from Jantar as a gift you can return it for an exchange or a credit note within the parameters outlined in this Returns Policy. Please call us on 01298 73116 or email Jantarjewellery@hotmail.com to arrange this.

Your Manufacturing Guarantee

Jantar has a vast range of products which are all scrutinised to ensure they are of the highest standard and quality. We guarantee all products for 1 year from purchase.

Where your product is covered by our guarantee against manufacturing defect, we will at our discretion provide one of the following free of charge:

  • Repair
  • A replacement where the product is deemed irreparable.

This guarantee is subject to the following conditions and exclusions

Conditions

  • Product must be purchased from the Jantar website;
    Original  receipt or email order confirmation must be provided;
    The guarantee applies to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred with ownership of the product

Exclusions

  • General wear and tear;
  • Accidental damage
  • Improper storage of the product;
  • Products which are repaired by an unauthorised repair agent.

Any replacement or repair of any product will not extend the original guarantee period. Any product provided by way of replacement or exchange of the product originally purchased will be guaranteed for the remainder of the guarantee period applicable to the original product. Where receipt or email order confirmation cannot be provided, Jantar reserves the right to assess the condition of a product and determine whether it falls within the scope of the guarantee.

In the event a product is outside of your guarantee period we will endeavour to repair or replace if the product is still available.

In the unlikely event that you need to claim under the terms of this guarantee, please visit or telephone the store.

Nothing in this guarantee will affect your legal rights if the product is faulty or not as described.
